Go to Datong Xinnan Bus Station(新南汽车站) to take the long distance bus. It leaves at 08:00 and 14:00 every day. Ticket fare: CNY 72. Time: around 4 hours.

There were long distances buses from Taihuai Town, Wutai Mountain to Datong. But they take different routes. One passes by Yingxian and the other passes by Mt. Hengshan.

You can take the second route and tell the bus driver that you get off at the Hanging Temple. If the bus driver didn't stop at the entrance of the temple, he would stop at a place about 1 kilometers to the temple. You can get off there and walk back to the temple.
