I must say that many tourists only go to the most famous places in China, two places that are ver underestimated is Qufu about 150 km south of Jinan. Look out for fake money every note 5CNY or higher should have a ribbon of metal, so you must hold the note to the light to see the ribbon it could look like a shadow on the note but it could also be false. And remember even when you are changing money at the hotel it's possible to get a fake note
