First impressions.

Wow!Wow!  More than  a person who is locked on to asia  could expect.
Great food,  low cost and plentiful,  bring your appetite
enjoy the sites but do talk a lot with people.
In,  i did and got great deals in the freshwater pearl store.
The sites well controlled and polite, staff very proper.
Plenty of room to photograph and weather  in october a plus.
Use of native language always appreciated.
First timers  i suggest guide if not clear with language and laws.
Transit by taxi low cost,  use native language  papers if not able to speak some chinese.
Oltage converters  sometimes needed,  i used the wall  hole adapter  without voltage converter and my cell phone charged up anyway.
Travel light as clothes are low cost to clean..
I  like carry on bags  from shops.   They are eager to help.
All floors of airports have help desks.
Get  a china  cell phone if you do not bring yours or rely on guide,  public phone that sell  and use phoe cards.
All at low cost.
Some baggage  incoming to beijing will not fit  carousel so see  lost baggage if  you can not find.
Thay are quite helpful.
