The article meantioned Taiwan weather. I am not sure if the person has ever been there.
Usual temperatures are high in the summer - may-August hit over 30C, even reach 37C (85-95F)
Very humid. Need to drink plenty of water. An adult man should drink at least an extra litre of water a day, and children must be kept out of the sun. Have plenty of sun lotion on all year round. Drinks are very cheap and bountiful. Many have natural vegetables or fruits. So get the children to drink as much as they like.
Don't get drunk. It is not socially acceptable.
Winter is from November to January possibly February not into March. Temperatures hit 15/16C (59/60F). They never were 10C when I was there. Though admittedly that might happen during the night at 3 or 4o'clock in the morning. I wouldn't know. But for the day time it is a hot country for people from northern europe and america.
Beautiful though. Very friendly and polite.
Don't try to chat people up in the streets, it is frowned on.
