We had a fantastic weekend at Yangshuo! this place is amazing, dont miss out on the Bamboo rafting on the Yu-long river, not the Li-river (which we heard is a motorized bamboo!). we stayed at the most beautiful hotel i have ever seen, the zen garden, the location is close to moon-hill where you can climb to the top around sunset time and see all the mountains that yangshuo is famous for.
The second day we took a car to the 7-star tea plantation area, picked tea with the friendly works of the plantation and spent the whole afternoon basking in the sun on the terrace area, sipping local wine!
West-street area is nice to go at night, there are a sea of people there, but for an evening is nice - i would not recommend staying in the area because of the noise and amount of people everywhere, but don't miss it altogether
