Yes I agree heartily with you on this.
While we should all respect others customs and traditions, we should also endeavour to understand them fully before racing headlong into embracing what appeals to us for whatever reason at the risk of making a mockery of them. |

White in Western tradition - but even there the man should not wear white because it stands for untouched spotless virginity;-)
In Chinese tradition white is used for funerals....so this here is actually just the influence of Hollywood movies!
