Changbaishan is also in Jilin Province. A mountain to climb with amazing natural scenery and famous "Heavenly Lake" (Tian chi).

Keep in mind the October holidays are a nightmare time to travel and anywhere you go is going to be busy, so keep destinations to a minimum and do some thorough checking out of one or two cities is my advice.
