While I wear my contacts straight for 2 weeks to a month in America, in China I often had to take them out every couple days and clean them because my eyes would start to hurt and get red and I'd have to put solution in my eyes.  I think I might have this problem without contacts though.  Maybe glasses in China would be better for me as they act to a small extent as goggles.[/quote]
