This house topic pops up frequently in this forum. I am Chinese but lived in the US all my life, why is a house so important when it comes to marriage BBQQ? It is quite obvious that starting a new life with a guy who has a house be more comfortable than a guy without a house but to me it sounds like these Chinese girls would rather marry a guy who is probably double her age and/or personality doesn't match to get ahead.

If a girl asked me if I had a house before going on a date with me, I would definitely take off as far from her as possible.

Prince charming sounds like a great guy though. If my sister told me that she met a guy who wants to marry her and work with her to buy a home, car and a life together than I wouldn't give him as hard of time. And plus, isn't there a saying in Chinese that the richer the man is, the more wives he has?[/quote]
