Dodger, I am not Leonardo. I am Leopold219. Chinese people with more money than they know what to do with. Just what is the population of the middle classes? If each one of them donated 10RMB a week into some sort of Farmers trust fund this problem would be fixed over night. This is impossible. Those rich guys are very stingy. If you understand why charity activities can't be popular in China, then you will understand it is impossible for those rich guys to donate their money to help the poor. It’s not only very sad but a disgrace that Farmers who spend their lives providing now have to beg for a bowl of rice. A man like you with a moral conscience to start this off. Dodger, my parents are both farmers too. So I know clearly what has happened and will happen to them. Due to the urbanization, more and more farmers have lost their fields. As you see, fields are the most important to the farmers. Without fields, how can they survive? It is true that the government has issued some preferential policies to the farmers. But these policies can't handle all the problems. When they grow old, they just depend on their children. By the way, I am not a rich guy and I have to support my parents too. To donate 10 RMB per week is no big deal. I have a job though the payment is not high. But I wanna know if my 10 RMB per week can directly go to the poor guys. I would rather give 10 yuan to the poor directly than donate it to the so-called charity organizations. Some charity organizations put people's donation into their own pockets.
