Beijing - 3 to 5 days Chengde - 1 - 2 days(not a must but near Beijing) Shanghai - 2 to 4 days Xian Teriblecotta(I am disappointed on this overhyped place but I like the town) - 2 days Hangzhou - 2 days Suzhou - 1 - 2 days(I don't like this exaggerated place, but u are near it) Select 2 water towns near the above - 2 - 4 days to relax Huangshan(No. 1 mountain) & nearby villages - 2 - 4 days Chengdu - 1 - 2 days(not must but you will pass by) Jiujaigou(must) & Huanglong(nearby) - 3 - 4 days Leshan - 1 - 2 days(i like the small town there) Ermei Shan(only if you missed Huang Shan and go Leshan together, but there are other mountains to choose from) Yunnan area: Kunming - 1 to 2 days(not a must but since you pass by) Lijing(top touristy ancient town) 2 days Zhongdian up to Deqin(i love this mountainous journey views) - 3 days(not a must, only if you are adventourous) Dali(another exaggerated place, but since you pass by) - 1/2 to 1 day Tiger Leaping Gorge - 2 days Yangtze River Cruise - 2 to 4 days depends how you do it Congqing - 1 - 2 days(not a must but since you must be there if you do the Yangtze River) Guilin & Yangshuo - 3 - 5 days(a must do in 2 months) Zhangjiajie & Fenghuang - 3 - 4 days Dragonback Rice Terrace(Longsheng area) - 2 - 3 days(not a must but if you are near) Kashgar and nearby area - 4 to 7 days I guess(i have not been there) The above will take you around 2 months and no one will dispute me those are the top sights but depending on your interests, you may cut some and add others like: Wuyuan(top ancient village) and Pingyao(top ancient town) Hong Kong & Macau - 3 - 4 days Guangzhou(don't miss the NIGHT river cruise) - not a must but if you pass by land to HK China is not well known for any sea resorts but if you must visit one - Hainan Island. Be prepared to meet the Rudest, Roughest & Rawest people on earth: Here are their top 5 bad behaviours sights that you are bound to see in a 2 weeks visit: 1)They speak loud(esp with their mobil phone while arriving near a destination) 2)They could spit near you while walking near you 3)They could squat in public toilet door unclosed 4)They will rob you of a taxi 5)They will rush in the subway trains before the others alight I am not exaggerating, everywhere in the big cities, their government put up signs to remind the people to be more CIVILISED. But don't think they are BAD, they are FRIENDLY and HELPFUL people and they like to share time with tourists. Ok, enjoy your trip. PS. To everyone and Chinese especially, I am not offensive. I am a Chinese too, just being honest and helpful :-) Note: Chinese outside China don't have these 3R characters.
