However, I heard that some foreigners didn't apply for the Q1 successfully. Instead, they were granted with Q2 type for 3 or 6 months. It's said that whether you can get Q1 type depends on your wife's savings. If she has enough money to support you for your stay in PRC, you will apply for the Q1 type.
