[quote=DESTRUCKDOZ,250538]Hi Mirandazhao, He He I wouldn’t call it “intimate”. He actually gets more intimate with my dads leg than anything else. But yeah we are close. Close enough that he can sense any mistrust that I feel towards someone that he would not let that person touch him. At first I thought it might have been a fluke but it was becoming more aware as he started to accompany me on my daily run. If you want to find a puppy that will be perfect for you, I would do lots of research for the kind of dog that will best suit your lifestyle and personality. For example for me I chose a Siberian Husky. I didn’t choose him for looks because that would be more trouble than how handsome he looks. He digs up my yards, his hair gets all over the place, brings me all his nightly killings (rabbits, ducks, chickens and birds) and so much more. But some of the reasons why we work well is that he doesn’t need to be played with ALL THE TIME like my other dogs who will never leave me alone. He is independent, if I didn’t feed him such a good breakfast and dinner, he could catch his own food LOL but I wouldn’t because that’s not cool. He is insanely intelligent and stubborn and the list goes on and on why we are compatible but what I wanted to explain was is that if you have a job that can get stressful because of deadlines, you definitely don’t want a dog that will make weeping sounds at night if you don’t play with him. And if you like to jog than a wiener dog definitely wouldn’t do since its legs are so short. So it’s pretty important that you find the dog that matches your needs and wants, ha ha much like a SPOUSE, but actually with a pet. And lastly if you are afraid of bacteria as in diseases, you can get the puppy vaccinated and tested for parasites in his stool when you find a veterinarian that you like. The puppy will be getting a round of shots the first 6 months and then afterwards you just give him a de-heart worming pill once a month, every month of the year afterwards, possibly some flea collars if they have flea’s. It is recommended that you bring the dog in for checkups as well for any additional meds. If you are afraid of the bacteria coming from the dogs mouth than you can brush his teeth or feed him certain treats that are made to make the dog gnaw on the treat as it cleans his mouth slowly, like “dental bones” Hope that helps, Thanks for the compliment.
