Roads can be bad so travel is not always as fast as it could be but the trip has interesting scenery all the way.

Not sure but estimate about 6 hours travel each day give or take one or two and wouldn't be more than Y100 for each days travel

We did Kaili to Congjiang in one day.  Actually we had to get into Kaili from a small village about an hour away and were lucky to make an immediate connection in Kaili so add that to rest of the days travel and you can see that it is not too long a stretch.  
And that was with a change of bus in Rongjiang about mid afternoon because we didn't want to stop there.  
We spent the night in Congjiang (we detoured north to Zhaoxing for a few days before stopping in Sanjiang) and from there it is an easy trip to Guilin

Several days later we bused from Sanjiang to Yangshou with a change of bus in Guilin.   Again an easy days travel.  
In fact we left Sanjiang after lunch following a morning of sightseeing around the nearby Wind and Rain bridge.

Relax !!!! It's a comfortable two day road trip or as Ellyse has said the train would do.
