I haven't been able to find anything addressing the conflict of the what is stated in the work visa for the Chinese government versus the private company who is doing the hiring.

I am flying to Shanghai on Monday to have an onsite interview with a subsidiarity of a large company based in Switzerland who has operations in Taicang.  I have not found anyone talk about checking no on the visa but then the company did their own background check and caught them lying.  I would expect that an honest answer for the employer would be best, but it seems the opposite for the gov't.  The company has already obtained a 6 month temp visa for me so I am assuming they will be doing the paperwork for the work visa.

I have read there is a difference between provinces as far as which ones require the "No Criminal Record Form".

Can anyone speak to this situation in the Jiangsu province (Shanghai area)?
