I had a conditional discharge for public order act s4 (think disorderly conduct) in the UK 11 years ago, with £50 compensation and no other punishment.. While this has been long spent AND already filtered for enhanced DBS checks that allows me to work with children and vulnerable people in the UK, it still stays on police records making it so difficult for me obtaining work VISAS and residency abroad. Guys - what to do? Honestly. Is there any way for me to get a job in China? Are there any loopholes, what can I do/try? I really want this. My Criminal Background checks will come clean, but police checks in the UK are a pain in the *** as they do not remove old misdeeds. As every year goes past, more and more countries put more and more regulations in terms of criminal record checks. It's almost impossible, and so stressful for people with minor things in the past to live normal lives and travel abroad like normal people. Why the life sentence? Countries like Germany, France, Sweden... even Latvia - the vast majority of EU nations remove old minor convictions from the police database. There is a difference between law & order and terrorist. Why do so many people have to suffer for the entirety of their lives for something minor they did in their youth over 10 years ago? Why the life sentence? Why so cruel? I just want to do good, like many other people here. Any advice guys, how can I travel and work freely with that stupid tiny mark on my record? (I hate the UK police)
