I made my comments knowing the facts. The "facts" do not sway me because in the big picture they are trivial.

I might agree that this should not be the job of government. Perhaps it would be better to allow fathers whose daughters and wife have been beaten and raped to within an inch of their life perform the execution.

Montana still has a law on the books that calls for hanging horse thieves, which IMO is right and proper. It might keep young hoodlums in line if we extended that law to car thieves too.  The world is over-populated, don't you know, so we have no need for riffraff.  It would not bother my heart one bit to see a 100-fold increase in executions in the US, but while I think it would be good for Americans, each country should follow its collective heart.[/quote]
