I'm American and married a Chinese woman. 33 years old. I'm 40. Dating was a dream. Very sweet, sincere and rather subsidiary to me. We talked about everything, money, family, etc. All seemed according to plan. We lived together for several months before the wedding. Married. 2 months into it she started to say things like, "I don't like your children visiting so much". I have a custody schedule that I follow and she knew about. Then she didn't like my cat and forced me to give it up. Shortly after he's gone she wants to get a new pet together. Then I find that I'm in violation of so many Chinese customs. I say hello to her friends when they visit. That's a no-no. I went so far as to hug one and never heard the end of it. Umm, I think in America we hug as a form of greeting or departure. I need to check my phone at the door and leave it open for her inspection every night. Then I discover that she is channeling money to another bank account "for her daughter's future". This was not discussed or decided jointly. I can go on. Bottom line, in my experience, Chinese wives are attractive, sexy and good a luring American men. But they can be very controlling and domineering. I'd take an extensive test ride before buying the next Chinese model. Good luck.
