In broad way, Chinese terminology 'Guan Xi" covers much more than relationships defined by the westerns including the one bob just mentioned. Guan Xi is not officially taught but depends on individuals values, growing background and family ground.  We Chinese say, you don't have to do your own job very well but you have to know something about Guan Xi.
