Hi everybody,
I was wondering if anybody knows any surf spot in Xiamen area.
I know, I know, Taiwan Island is just over there taking all the swells, but...hope keeps man alive! Maybe South-West swells can pump some juice over the coast...
Any information will be greatly appreciated.
Take it easy.

P.S. Ok, suppose that there are some waves....where the heck can I rent a board!?

If you're a surf Junkie and you sound like you may be then you have definately come to the wrong country looking for waves. I go a nice little wave myself south of Zhuhai near Macau last October and they did have a few things that would pass as a surfboad there but know one seemed to know how to ride one. I think they would just be used for surf rescue.
Around Xiamen you could probably find a swell right now with the cyclone about but apart from that you may have to take up sailboarding which is a good option in Xiamen.

Hi,

You probably need to buy a board in Thailand and fly back with it. I had to get a skateboard there and come back with it.

Cheers,

Toby
