| I just received an offer to teach English in Changsha. The question I have is how much Putonghua can I pick up in Changsha, as say compared to Beijing? Best regards, Orton |

| well~ In fact,unlike beijing, In Changsha, the locals speak changsha dialect in general. But all the ppl here know how to speak Putonghua. Putonghua is avaiable in everyplace of China.By the way, which school you will be teaching in??? |

| In Changsha [Hunan] they don't say Hunan province but Hulan :)) The first time I met a guy from there I thought he was from Holland, funny, no? You said they speak Mandarin Chinese?? Haha..
