After so many years of efforts, the number of illiterate in China "reduced to" 85 million!
While the new school dropouts amount to 0.5 million by year.

90% of the illiterates are in rural areas, while 70% of them are female!

Eliminating lliteracy is extremely important for China. It is concerning the future or destination or the international position of China. Although China has made great efforts and gained great progress in eliminating illiteracy, she still has a long way to go. Every Chinese is responsible for this program. Every Chinese should do something for it.
