Anyone know how to arrange a private car from Chengdu? Cost (per day or per km)?
If possible, I'd rather go on my own rather than fly or go with a tour van. That way, I could stop along the way.

try the traffic hotel service or the sam.
as i know, you can't drive by yourself in china only if you have working visa and make a special licence here. it's mean that you can hire a car with the driver but it could be expencive.(more that 100 usd for 1 day).
