 | From the various websites, there seems to be 3 major bays in Sanya - Sanya Bay, Yalong bay & Dadonghai Bay. Pl tell me which is the best of the three in term of tranquilty and beautiful beaches/water. Which of the bays would you recommend for a short stay - not too remote & far away from the places of sea activities and easy access to seafood. I prefer seafood where u can choose on the spot & they cook it for you right there at the beach and under the starry sky. Thank you. |

| Of course, no matter from the beach, water, environment or air quality, Yalong Bay is the best, or those top international hotels would not be built there. But for Yalong Bay, you know, it's just a bay, not downtown, so not near to the downtown, even a little far. But please take it easy, there are so many kinds of sea activities and seafood. For sea activities, there are scuba diving, banana boat, motorboat, snorkelling, Dragging Parachute and so on. For seafood, it's expensive in Yalong Bsy. Because there is nothing, except hotels and hotels. If you want to eat seafood, you have to eat at hotels. All hotels in Yalong Bay are 5* and 4* star, so it's very expensive. But if you like, you could take a taxi to Sanya downtown. Eating seafood there would be cheaper a lot. Hope it helps! |

| Thanks a lot Belleli. What about Dadonghai Bay ? There is a write-out here that it is good. Hehehe, California - somehow we like to name our everything after the west. Same as Suzhou - they appear on earth first, u know ! |

| IMO,Dadonghai was just so so! Yes,I don't like that express!!!But in fact,the western cities were more famous than chinese,so we need our cities were showed to the world,and I hope in some day,I can hear: Venice---Western Suzhou...... |

| Hi Pinetree Was at Hilton Sanya in May. Played at Yalong Bay Golf Course (2 mins by buggy from hotel) - flat, uninteresting. was told other nearby golf courses much better but we didn't have the time (flew off to Shanghai on our 3rd day there). Hilton Sanya @ Yalong Bay - beautiful, private beaches (they have 2! - one at the beach and the other inner ... for beach volleyball). Chinese restaurant ... very cozy ... served yummy food. There's also a seafood restaurant (with mini 'aquariums') but we didn't dine there. Very friendly staff. p.s. we checked out the Marriot and Sheraton - next door neighbours but deemed Hilton Sanya to be the best of the three. |

| Dadonghai? Frankly speaking, just like what Cali said, it's just so so. But near to Sanya downtown, very convenient for shopping and having dinner. BIRDIEJK, you are the first one I know said Hilton is the best. It seems more people like Marriott and Sheraton. No matter how and no matter when, Sheraton's price is the highest for ever. : ) |

| hi Belleli surprise! surprise! Hilton Sanya is definitely the best of the lot. we walked the grounds of all three and the Hilton has the best 'resort' feel. Besides, its brand new! |

| Well, I don't think it's worthwhile spending so much just to sleep at these 5-star hotels at Yalong - unless it is a romantic outing or on business a/c. I will just go for the lower end hotels. Thanks for the info on Yalong Bay Golf, Birdie. |

| hehe, Birdiejk, maybe just because Hilton is brand new, so it looks very nice. You like Hilton, I also can understand. Because I know different people has different feeling. *_* |
