Thank you for the prompt reply Anna! I think it well be more practical for me to take the train going to beijing (cheaper rate plus it will give me the chance to see the countryside).

Can anyone recommend an affordable hotel ($50 and down)that is near the center and convenient to transportation going to the Great Wall and other tourist destinations?

On this topic, is there any hotel in Beijing which will accomodate 3 adults and 1 child in a room and near to underground (MRT)?
