 | Hi, I will be going to Chengde/ Tianjin during my Beijing trip in Sep. Is there any nice places/ nice scenary in Chengde/ Tianjin to visit? Is there horse riding in any of the places (Chengde, Tianjin, Beijing)? |

| Hi,Chris, The Bashang grassland in Chengde,named Fengning and weichang!You can ride horse,I have been to there in July to August.In the downtown of chengde,you can go to Bishu shangzhuang and mini Patala:-) In Tianjin,you can go to the curio market and local food street,very nice! BTW,how many days will you stay in China? |

| Hi California Thanks alot. Already seen the pics u put up in this community. It's very nice. So the big greenary (and the houses) is Bashang Grassland? Fengning and Weichang is the name of the grassland? How do we get there? I will be in Chengde for only 2 short days with guided tour. Am thinking of asking the tour guide to bring us to places where we can ride horses and also to the grassland if time allows. Our itineary includes Patala, Bishu shangzhuang and Da Fuo shi only. Tianjin, I will only be there for 1 day. :) |

| Bashang Grassland is the whole area's name,inculuding Zhangbei Bashang Grassland,Fengning Bashang Grassland and Weichang Bashang Grassland.The first in the city Zhangjiakou,and the other two in Chengde.It is not easy to go there by yourself!Yes,you are right,it is very very very beautiful,but you only stay in Chengde two days,I don't think the guide can take you to there!You can try to do it! Ok,good luck to you! |
