I intend taking the train from Chengdu to Xining, Given that it takes 25 hours do I need to stock up on food or are there folks selling food on the train. It is my first trip to China so any help would be appreciated.

Hi there,

they normally offer food on long distance trains, but I would always recommend to take something along. It is cheaper and you dont have to wait for anybody. There is also hot water so those typical instant noodles packages (really popular in China) and some tea are a good idea.
