I am sure there are a lot of taxis use natural gas instead of oil, and I also heard from some driver that the natual gas station network is not so extensive as the oil station's.

I need to talk to some drivers on how exactly it works when I take taxis and get back with more details soon:)

Taxi fare is going to be higher in Xi'an!!

1) flag fall: RMB6 for the first 2 km from 6:00am to 23:00pm
2) fare : RMB1.5 per every succeeding km
3)when the taxi is stop, the fare of every 2.5 mins' waitting will equal to half a km.
4) night charge :At night from 23:00 to 6:00 next morning, the taxi fee is RMB 7 for the first 2 km and RMB 1.8 per every succeeding km

It is said that the fare has to be higher because of the rising priceof oil. It will begin from Jan.1,2006
