I think you'd better go to the consulate office of Guangzhou government, and consult them. and the answer they offer to you is more authorized.

The extension application should be made at the municipal public security bureau 7 days before the visa expires. Multiple visas cannot be extended. Foreigners who wish to apply for extension or alteration of visas or certificates need to provided the relevant documents: 1) A valid passport and visa as well as the documents regarding accommodation registration 2) An fully completed application form for extension or alternation 3) Documents and papers supporting reasons for extension or alternation

You can do what I did - simply overstay your original visa, and then attempt to leave. They'll haul you aside and direct you to the nearest Foreign Affairs office. There, you'll have to pay money for the number of days you've overstayed, and you'll be forced you to purchase a new 1-month visa. You won't be given the option of leaving once you pay for the overstay, you'll need to stay put until the new visa is ready - about 1 week, during which time they keep your passport. This is what happens to numbskulls like myself who miscalculate the length of time we've been in China. A more sensible way to gain an extension would be to call up your embassy or consulate in Guangzhou and ask them how to go about it. Good luck!

If you are in Guanzhou now, and want to contact the embassy and consulate in Guangzhou, go to any 5-star hotel and ask the concierge or their travel desk for the phone number of your embassy/consulate in Guangzhou.

Considering what Visa you have. Just go into the city and the Guangzhou Immigration. If you do not live in Guangzhou,Good Luck. However,Guest 14619 makes me wonder, just what his company is,and maybe,it would be good to consider. So if this nice girl can help.maybe not a bad idea, and maybe not such a good idea.
