In answer to a comment on the photo 'Busy bang bang blokes'

Busy - in this case is tongue in cheek meaning they are not too busy

blokes - men colloquial

Bang- shoulder

bang - pole/stick

Don't ask me which tones they are. Maybe one of our local members can help out here.


and yes women and men all over the south of China use these very practical poles for all sorts of labour, whether it be on the farm or in the cities

I guess some of them do, but does this look like a hard life. Th y're not going to get too wealthy working like this though.
