Apartment in chengdu?

Hi all. I will be working in chengdu soon enough. my working place would be in American Embassay area(Ren Ming Nan lu).and i do need to rent a cheap apartment around that area.(I am told the aparments are very expensive in that region ) Can anyone provide any Info about that. Thanks !
