I am from malaysia and planning for my beijing trip in 2006. Just like to find out a few things about beijing.

1) When is the best time to visit Beijing? I've heard from locals here that September/October will be the best time as it is Autumn there and can expect lots of fruits to eat like peaches/plums/persimmon. Is it true?

That's right. And don't forget the red maple in xiang shan park. Which I suppose you didn't experienced in Malaysia.
