I am looking to relocate to China from USA for an extended period (1-2 years). I am a photographer and looking to photo much of China. One of the things I want to photo while there are the Terracotta Warriors. I understand that cameras are not permitted. Is there any way to get permission to photo them? Any permits or licenses required that I can look into? Any help will bw appreciated.

You can take pictures. Only tripod and flashlights are forbidden.

Camera's ARE permitted as far as i'm aware. You should not use flash as it damages the Warriors (although ignorant people still do). Have a great trip! Gaz

Thank you Mermaid. Highspeed film and no flash necessary.

Ok, I have to commit: I was just another ignorant laowai! I did not want to use flash, but everybody did - I was soooo weak, just like another fish in the swarm.....I feel bad! But there are some DeGuo specialists helping to restore those figuers, so paying taxes makes me overcome my bad feelings...
