A lot of members and guests are asking for details about flights and trains which are readily available by searching this website. This is just one of China Travel Guides many services, which is easy to use when you know how.

So lets find out where to look. If you scroll up to the top of the web page you’ll notice there are 7 tabs beginning from the left.
Home, City Guide, Tours, Cruises, Hotels, Testimonials, Community - where this forum is located.

On the top right of the page you will see three more ICONS a Plane, a Train and Search

A simple click on these and you will enter a search window where you are asked for your input

PLANES gives you drop down menu for point of departure and arrival, time of day you wish to fly and will give you a list of all flights between these cities, including times, aircraft type, price and days of the week each service is available

TRAINS gives you ‘leaving from’ and ‘going to’ fields and a CITY LIST if you are not sure of the spelling etc. If direct trains are available you will get a list of train numbers, departure and arrival times, total duration of trip and standard of train i.e. with or without A/C Train numbers also indicate the speed and standard of the trains and the reverse trip is coded with last digit change.
Clicking on the train number will give you all the stops the train makes and the cost of all the seats and berths available. Where there are no direct trains you may include the VIA field where you may need to change trains. Good idea to have map of China handy when using the train search.

SEARCH includes three fields and a dropdown menu where you can search for specific information on this site.

All prices are quoted in US$. Train prices and times are pretty rigid so what you see will not vary much if anything, however flights are more flexible and are subject to changes without notice. You may also pick up some good discounts for much less than the official quoted prices on some routes.

I've always dreamed of finding a website that lists comprehensive countrywide train, bus and air services, detailed city maps, ticket prices, entry prices for attractions, photographs and write-ups, all in English and Chinese. Updated on a regular basis... a paradise for any traveller...

It's what the Internet was always intended to be, the greatest encyclopedia in the world. Why is it that nowadays the more specific the information we want, the more low-grade advertisements we find?

Don't know where you are stationed. But search the internet for "China Trains" - there are many options for you to book online.
