Is it true that all residence permits issued are temporary and permanent ones are only issued 1 year later?? Using the temporary residence permit, can I import my household effects?

Appreciate any advice on this. Thanks!

The residence permit should include temporary one and permanent one. But as I know the permanent one is not issued one year later. If you have enough capital or money, I think you will get one asap.

Thanks for your reply Daisy... we are currently using a handling agent for this. I'm just wondering if it's the agent who's got tricks up his sleeves...

I'm also worried if I can still import my household effects if we are really given the temporary permit.

Sorry, I am not clear about what the "household effects" you pointed here~
Is it just the material thing or some other like the "capital" with which you want to run your business ni Shenzhen?

Hi,

What I meant by household effects are personal belongings like my pots and pans, electrical items, clothes, books etc., which I am sending by cargo from my country to Shenzhen.

I have been told that I cannot import my cargo because a temporary permit may not be recognised.

Is it also true that my residence permit can be obtained only after my husband has gotten his?
