TERRY77 Points: Join Date: Oct 11, 2005 Status: offline	This will be my first trip to China, actually inner Mongolia, next year in July. Would like to know time frames and mileage distances from Beijing to Shenyang, then to Harbin and then to Hailar. Also best mode of travel, ie: train, bus, air etc. Can not find anything to help on the net, but know there must be something somewhere. Thank you in advance for your help. Terry

Sorry, I didn't get the detailed mileage distances between the cities you mentioned. Hope the following information helps;

Beijing <--> Shenyang
Trainfare:
Hard sleeper CNY209.00; soft sleeper CNY316, fast trains take about 10 hours

Airfare:
economy class CNY700.00, takes about 1 hour

Shenyang <--> Harbin
Trainfare:
Hard sleeper CNY140.00, soft sleeper CNY215, take about 7 hours

Airfare:
economy class CNY510.00, takes less than 1 hour

Harbin <--> Hailar
Trainfare:
Hard sleeper CNY191.00, soft sleeper CNY282.00 takes about 11hours

It's hard to tell which is the best mode to travel, it sometimes depends on your budget, your schedule, etc.

The best choice to you trip is by train!From Beijing to Shenyang,about 9 hours,there were many trains go to there,the same to Shenyang to Harbin,then to Hailar.
As the biggest city in the NE of China,in Shenyang,you can go to visit Shenyang Forbidden City;Harbin is also a nice place for travelling,but you will go to there in July,there were no ice-lights and icd-sculpture!you can visit the San-Sofia Church and the Centre Street,many Russian architecture in the city.Hailar is a good choice,it is the centre of Hulunbeir Grassland,very very very amzing!!!Pls don't forget to ride horse!
