travel from Hong Kong to Guangzhou

I am planning to take a bus from Hong Kong airport to Guangzhou to save time. But I am concerning the time it takes to cross the custom. My travel day is October 21, Thursday. Will I get better control on my travel time if I take a train?

hello friend...

i am a little confused with those railway lines to guangzhou. i will be reaching hong kong by air on the 14th oct 2005 and would like to travel up to guangzhou in the shortest time possible. please advise me . thank you.... should i take a bus from the airport ? it's frequency ? thank you so much
