Travelling to Shezhen from Hong Kong

Can anyone advise me of the best days to travel from Hong Kong to Shenzhen to avoid to much congestion at the border. We could either go on a Thursday or a Friday.

Also, how safe are Shenzhen markets when travelling with a young child?

Take the train in Kowloon. In about an hour you will be there.

After going through customs, you will see a sevral-storey building, which is called Law Wu Shing. There are numerous small shops inside, selling all kinds of things from clothing to elctronics, etc.

It is safe if you don't venture too far away from the tourist area. But beware of pickpockets.
