Hi Rita,

What worried me is that some people responded to it. I'm glad it's no problem now. But we all do have to be careful about these types of messages.

Cheers,

Vinnie.

It seems I have never been so LUCKY since I used email or cellphone or even login to some online communities. I had been informed from time to time that I got huge prizes (Who else hasn't yet got the email from those celebrities' or presidents' widows to offer to transform their fortunes? :-)), I am the kind of person forever doubting the falling gold brick, whatsoever, would hit me one day. ;-)

Cheers

Yes, I understand what you mean. It is good to doubt the falling gold brick - to be skeptical - it is true there are many frauds there want to cheat honest people.

I have learned over many years (now I am in my 30s!) that to be lucky, sometimes you have to make your own luck. Nothing good seems to come the fast easy way, have to work hard for it.

I like this forum, I hope to spend more time here in the future, get better acquainted with the Chinese people and the culture.

Take care,

Vinnie.

Hello,

Yes, this message is also fraud - and is also very old trick many people try to use:

These people are trying to get us to give them personal information so they will then be able to access our accounts and our money. If you see any letters like this from someone you do not know, do not answer it, just delete. They would not ask strangers for help if they were true. Believe me, it's fake.

Cheers,

Vinnie.

I am not certain how they do it. But they have some type of software maybe, they can "invade" the online forums and send the email message to many people at once. If everyone on this forum checks their mailbox, I'm sure that everyone has this same message from this same person. Remember never give out your personal information to someone you don't know.
