I understand that the remaining 1000 km of the Qinghai-Tibet railway is billed as one of the most dramatic railway in the world. High altitude across savage Tibetan plateau have made the railway the rest of the world talk about. The cabin of the carriage will be pressurised just like the airplane. Isn't that impressive??

I believe you know Tibet better than most of the members here. Why is it you don't consider the railway impressive even though it is built over mountains and high altitudes? It is not easy to built such a railway. And because of that, it has taken more than 6 years (?) to built. I think the Trans-siberian railways is equally impressive but not built over high terrain. So in this respect, I think the Qinghai-Tibet Railway will win hands down. Thats my view.
