Yichang was a great choice. From there I took the hydrofoil that Jabarootoo mentioned. One way to Badong for 110y including pick up from my hotel. The hydro goes slow enough to sightsee.

In Yichang the Sanyo Caves lets you get a view from above the gorges as well as looking up if you take the trail.

The Gazhouba Dam offer very close up views of the locks.

I agree with you on Yichang being beautiful. I lived there last year for a year and I love it. I guess I would call it my second home.

Hi Gottaluvchina,
Interesting to hear from you. My first school offer in China was the SanXia Middle School in Yichang which I obviously didn't take, but ended up at the other end of the Gorges so to speak, but they are much closer to Yichang.

Just been through very quickly on the way down to Wuhan.

Any chance of some Travel reviews of the places around there that you have visited. I'd love to explore more but don;t know when.....

After my visit, I really wondered if there was any chance of getting a position there. I was very impressed. Even if you didn't see the sights, the city and waterfront is great.
