Built in 802 AD by the Khmer civilisation, none in the world can match Angkor in terms of ancient archite. getting there is easier now as the place has been cleared. Nevertheless much of the temple have been destroyed by rooting trees, vines and other plants. Looting has also been a major cause of concern in the past. If you don't see it, you will not be able to appreciate the skills of ancient craftsmen.
