Learning Mandarin in Dali

Hi everyone

In chongqing at moment. Thinkin of headin down to dali to learn mandarin for a month. Didn't have much joy surfing net but read in a travel book that its common for travellers to learn Mandarin there. Anyone got any advice.

you might still be able to learn mandarin here but it is definitely not the popular place. the folks here speaks either yunnanese mostly and bai dialect, as that is the main ethnic group in dali.
