We have an ancient saying: Kind people love mountains, and wise people love waters.

Another one: If you've been to Huang Shan (Yellow Mountain), then you don't need to visit other mountains

I like climbing mountains too. You know the head of chinese mountains is Mountain Tai, Why do you travel to Shandong Province? Oh, My favorite places is Zhangjiajie, which lied in Hunan Province. The landscape there is fabulous. I think you will love it. So I strongly recommend Zhangjialie to you, if you have time, you had better go there and enjoy .

...providing a few more details about yourself???
China is very big, but it has a limited number of sites worth visiting. My advice therefore is to specify your interests:
- if you are interested in history, you should no doubt visit Peking
and/or Xi'an.
- If you are a Buddhist, go to Dunhuang and similar places in the North.
- If you are interested in modern history, my suggestion would be to
tour Macau, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Qingdao.
- If you are interested in scenic China, then there are: Wololong Nature
Reserve; Jiuzhaigou Glacier; Changbaishan mountains; Heavenly
Lake in Xinjiang; a cruise on the Yangzi; Guilin/Yangshuo; or Lugu
Lake and northern Yunnan; Hainan island.

You also must choose the season well. It is no piece of cake travelling in freezing winter in an unheated train carriage south of the Yangzi, while the coal smoke in the North is utterly unhealthy.

In summer, you must refrain from strenuous exercise due to the heat and humidity.
Lastly, Chinese holidays see hordes of ordinary people on the road, making booking a train ride difficult.
