| Chinese generally avoid keeping cats as pets. This is because Chinese believe that when children breathe in the cats fur it will caused them to have asthma. Is this a fact or is it a myth? |

| Usually Chinese people consider cats as the representatives of the double-hcanted or the treacherous. While dogs are considered as the representatives of the allegiant. I'm not sure about the reason. In addition there is a Chinese saying: 儿不嫌母丑,狗不嫌家贫。It means that children never mind that whether their mothers are beautiful not, they still love them; dogs never mind that whether their owners are rich or not, they still live with them. |
