I´m traveling to Guangzhou around christmastime. Does anybody know if i can buy a mobile phone and use it in Europe?

I think you can use it in Europe,it is better that you can ask the seller.
BTW,why don't buy one in Finland???NOKIA's motherland:-)

You can get Nokia and Eriksson here everywhere but you need to compare prices??????? It may not be worth waiting but on the other hand it may be a lot cheaper especially if you are not looking for the top of the range. You can get a free SIM card here and buy prepaid to use while you are in China but you should check in Finland first if the systems are compatible but I don't see why not.

Some of my US friends have some using thier phones here but that is because of the 'Plans' that they have been locked into!!!!!!

You can even use your phone with your contract from Europe in China, so the phone is the same GSM standard.

For the US your phone has to be able to switch the standard.

Hello,
U can use the Mobile in Europe, ih u have purchse that in Guangzhou, but u should change only the Launguage to English.
