Hi there,
I'm heading to Hangzhou in September. I have been before and have done Xihu, Linyin temple and the general's quarters. Last time I came on tour. This time my friends and I are going it alone.

So I'd would like to what else is there to do and see in Hangzhou?

Thanks

Hi,welcome to Hangzhou!

Hangzhou is the most beautiful and elegant city in the world.

In addition to Xihu(west lake), there are many other wonderful spots, such as Lingyin Temple, Mausoleum of General Yue Fei on the bank of West Lake, Six Harmonies Pagoda, Huanglong Cave, and The Running Tiger Spring. They are cultural and historical sites worth seeing.

Vocational resorts in the city of Hangzhou are well popular for tourists at home and abroad. Future World Park, the largest hot park in Asia, must be the best choose for you to enjoy life.

Besides, around Hangzhou city, there is such a fairyland named Qian Dao Hu (Thousands Islets lake), which is famous and definitely fascinating. Being personally on the scene, you couldn't help forgetting to return.

Are you interested in silk and tea? You can visit China National Silk Museum and China National Tea Museum there.

So many places have been in your mind.
Have a nice journey!

Qian Dao Hu (Thousand Islets Lake) is a beautiful lake, situated in Chun'an county 160 km (100 miles) west of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. It has a total of 1,078 islets, each with its own formation. That is why the lake is named Qian Dao Hu (Thousand Islets Lake). Qian Dao Hu is not only grand like Taihu Lake in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, but also exquisite like West Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.

I strongly suggest to watch the Qiantang River Bore. The soaring tide of the Qiantang River is such a marvelous spectacle that only the Amazon River's surging tide rivals it! Annually, millions of people from both home and abroad flock there to watch the magnificent tide on the eighteenth day of the eighth lunar month (also around the Mid-Autumn Day).

Thanks Daisy,

For the trains going to Hangzhou from Shanghai, do you
know what the costs are? and when is the best time to
catch the train, I don't want to be caught in peak hour with
locals going to work.

Thanks
