Website that logs my travels on a map?

Hi,

Is there a website that invites travellers to log their "to" and "from" destinations? I'm basically looking to show my friends/family back home where I have travelled -on a world map preferably. I've heard of websites asking for a free sign up account and in return, a custom made travel map is yours to view. Anyone know anything about such a site? Thanks

Have a look at www.virtualtourist.com

This site covers world wide locations with a map but not sure if it is too detailed but you can log a detailed report of cities you have visited in each location and your family/friends can follow this.
Also allows for photos and travel reviews
