Hi, fellow travellers, We are thinking of experiencing the cold cold weather of Harbin. Wonder whether we could experience snow falls in the city during Jan - March 06. We are not firm on the dates yet. Hope you can give us some tips to help us decide. Besides the ice scruptures, what are the things we can do in Heilongjiang? Thank you in advance.

Of course you could experience a lot of snow falls during Jan-Mar. Besides the ice sculptures, you can go to Yabuli Resort (or Double Dragon Hill, etc) to ski and also experience the dog sleighs...

As for the ice scruptures, in this comming Festival of Lanterns in Chinese lunar mouth (about Febrary 13 in 2006) there must be a great exhibition of amazingly beautifuly ice sucptures in Harbin. It is a feast for people there. If you really want to enjoy a real tour in winter in Heilongjiang, you shouldn't miss it!

Maybe I am weak in expressing my feeling, so I have to say that it is extremely great when snowflakes falling on your head. At that time you will feel like in a fairyland. Trust me! If you are lucky enough to enjoy the snow, you will definitely have a unforgettable memory! :)

Ha, California, the situation you mentioned is really romantic. However if I have no BF, then where does my romantic feeling come from? :)
