I'll be in Beijing for 4 nights and I'm staying at the Capital Hotel. Does anyone know anything about this hotel? Also, I would like to tour the great wall - which is best, booking my tour on-line from U.S.A or when I reach my hotel make the arrangement? Do let me know because I'll be there by myself

Capital Hotel, 4-star ,located in Beijing's business district and scenic downtown area.It is close to many attractions, shopping centres , only at a walking distance from the Tiananmen Square and the legendary Forbidden City.

Flight ticket is easily got in China especially in lower season

It is a little bit cold in Beijing now, especially at night. You'd better take some heavey and warm clothes with you. :)

Have a nice trip!

In late November in Beijing, the temperature will be below zero. Take warm clothes and take care of yourself!

The weather is getting colder and colder, today is windy! You should take more warm clothes!
By the way,I will go to climb the wild Great Wall on this Saturday:-)
If you want to go the Great Wall,I advise the Mutianyu or Simatai Great Wall!

I agree that if you'd like to Great Wall, Simatai will be the best.

But I don't like Capital Hotel, their traffic is not so convenience. I suggest you go to Poly Tower, or Jian Guo Hotel. Because there location near subway.

I think you can make the arrangement after your arrival!I don't know when will you reach your hotel in 19th Nov.Do you travelling in Beijing only 5 days???As your time,I think you should:
D1:Your hotel was near the Tian'anmen Square, and you can go to the Forbidden City,Jinshan Park,Beihai Park and Gongwangfu Garden in the daytime, shopping in Wangfujing street in the night if you have enough body:)
D2:If you are alone,I think you should take the Travel Bus to Badaling Great Wall and Ming Tomb, the bus station in the west of Tian'anmen Squre, about 140RMB,including gate tickets, lunch and bus tickets.
D3:Summer Palace and IT Market(you have mentioned in my guest book)
D4:Heave Temple and Pear Marke!
And then,have a rest,GO HOME......
Have a nice trip!
D
